Privacy Policy

  1. Basic concept
    1. The Tsukuba Office, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Council Secretariat, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (hereinafter referred to as " Tsukuba Office") collects information on users of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Web Server (hereinafter referred to as "the Site") to the extent necessary for the efficient operation of services provided on the Site(such as provision of information by the Site, etc.). The information collected is only used within the scope necessary for the prescribed purposes.
  2. Scope of information to be collected
    1. Tsukuba Office automatically collects IP addresses and other information on access to the Site. Tsukuba Office does not use cookies (information transmitted from the server to the user's browser and stored on the user's computer in order for the server to identify users).
    2. At the "Aff. Road" corner, Tsukuba Office may request users as voluntary to enter their name and e-mail addresses.
    3. Tsukuba Office may request users to enter their name, addresses, telephone numbers, etc. when comments and requests are sent by users via the e-mail address of "www@affrc.go.jp," etc. The sender's e-mail address is displayed to the recipient.
  3. Purposes of use
    1. The information acquired in 2.(a) shall be used as a reference for the efficient operation of the service provided by the Site.
    2. The e-mail addresses, user names collected in 2.(b) shall be used for confirmation of request.
    3. The information collected in 2.(c) shall be used as a reference in future service planning. To this end, according to content, those information may be forwarded to Tsukuba Office's internal bureaus and organizations. Tsukuba Office may use the user names, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers to respond to inquiries.
  4. Restrictions on use and provision of the information
    1. Tsukuba Office shall not, except in cases where a request has been made to disclose collected information by law and where there are special reasons, including cases where unlawful acts, such as illegal access, threats, etc., have occurred, use the said information for other purposes than the purposes under 3 nor provide a third party with the said information. However, with regard to information on access to the Site, personal attributes pertaining to the information, statistically processed data on access to the Site, etc. may be released or posted on the Site.
  5. The measure of safe security
    1. Tsukuba Office shall take the necessary measures to properly administer collected information, such as prevention of leakage, deletion and alteration of the information.
  6. Applicable scope of this policy
    1. This privacy policy shall apply only to the Site. Please be aware that when you visit other websites of the relevant office and organizations, etc., your information will then be subject to the privacy policies of these websites.
  7. Other
    1. Tsukuba Office if necessary may revise this privacy policy.
